Archetype Glass is proud to unveil our latest installation at The George at Columbia, Tapestry Collection by Hilton — a refined fusion of craftsmanship, materiality, and modern design.
For this project, our team created textured mirror feature wall panels that bring visual depth and atmosphere to the hotel’s lobby. Textured mirror is a powerful design element: it softens reflection, diffuses light, and introduces movement within a space. The interplay of texture and mirror creates a dynamic surface that shifts throughout the day, adding dimension without overpowering the room. It’s both functional and sculptural — a material that contributes to the ambiance as much as it does to the aesthetic.
To achieve this effect, Archetype combined hand-rolled textured art glass with a custom-tinted mirror, producing a surface rich with shimmer and subtle reflectivity. The result is an elegant feature wall that enhances the lobby’s sense of warmth and sophistication, drawing the eye while seamlessly integrating into the overall design.
Beyond the lobby, this design also plays a key role in shaping the atmosphere of the adjacent bar area. The textured mirror introduces a soft glow and ambient light bounce that enriches the mood — creating a space that feels intimate, inviting, and elevated. The subtle distortions in the reflection add just the right amount of intrigue, giving the bar its own personality while still harmonizing with the overall interior architecture.
This installation stands as a testament to how bespoke glasswork can elevate any environment, transforming a standard wall into a memorable experience.
